The pool has a great atmosphere. The staff are polite and welcoming. They had live music every night when we stayed, and it was good. Very close to a big shopping mall.

The breakfast is horrible. Not the hotel's fault, but a small cafe nearby had all-night karaoke parties so the sleep was bad.

Comfortable room. Nice reception staff. Good location. Value for money.

Excellent value

You can tell from the moment you walk in that Hotel Centro was once a grand hotel. Beautiful woodworking, spiral marble staircase (modern elevator as well). It once had a spa and a rooftop sky lounge called the Sicilian bar and there used to be a bar next to the very large swimming pool area. The hotel is still comfortable and a good value but maintenance has declined over the years. The pool is in need of resurfacing but still swimmable. Outside areas need paint and maintenance. The hotel has 111 rooms but I would guess less than five or six were booked during our stay. Hopefully with tourism picking up they'll get more guests and be able to bring her back to her former glory. The staff are excellent and very accommodating.

It's just hard to see a gem in need of a good makeover.

We were given the worst room on the floor 2 which was not what I’ve paid for. Safety box is made of wood NOT steel and we feel unsafe to put out important stuffs in it.

nothing to like except the bed was comfortable and Air Cooler was working great

it’s by no means 4 star or Haydn your a three star. old carpets, small not so clean washroom with very poor quality of amenities. ties were so old type . breakfast was very ordinary. there are so many better place than this one .

A welcoming place with a relaxed atmosphere

Pick-up & communication was great Check-in professional & pleasant The room decent, clean & most importantly: quiet! Breakfast was alright - a few things missing like ham & cheese, fresh vegetables.. The staff professional, reserved & attentive! Thank you for making our stay comfortable & easy!

Room 409 had a city view and was nicely setup for our purpose. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. Bacon, egg, fried chicken, fruit plate (rice for Filipino and bread for western breakfast).

Would stay again .

Location is excellent, close to many restaurants. Room was comfortable and clean. Pool was enjoyable. Breakfast was choice between Filipino (egg, rice, breakfast meats) or western style (egg, bread, butter and bacon) both came with fruit plate as well.

Pool bar and Sicily bar on the roof were both closed.

We stay in hotel centro for 2 weeks. We eat the same breakfast for 2 weeks. Food is pricey.

The hotel facilities is nice. Some staffs are accomodating.

I hate the food, we stay for 2 weeks and we eat same breakfast for the duration of our stay. Their soul pool bar has no staff always, so you need to ask the lifeguard to order cocktails and some food and he will call the hotel staff for your order. Their are so many hotel staff but they only stay in one place, I dont know if they been all asigned on that station. And also I hate how they handled double booking. It was a hassle for me. First booking was suppossed to be just for 4 days, but then boyfie wanted to stay for 2 weeks, so I cancelled my first booking and made it for 2 weeks stay. I did the cancellation 3 weeks before our date of arrival, upon arrival at the hotel, all is good. And then few days later they called and ask if I did book another date. And I said it has been cancelled and the hotel say they didnt receive any cancellation. Wtf! For that 3 weeks upon cancellation its impossible that they didnt receive any mail that someone has cancelled their booking. So ive been charge for it. I wont book for hotel centro again, never ever.

The hotel's location is really good. Its very accessible to public transportation.

The pool area is not that well maintained. The water pressure at the shower is not consistent though that might have been a problem with the city's water supply since the other hotel we stayed at have the same problem.

Puerto Princessa, Palawan.

The hotel inside was actually a quite beautiful design of carved wood and ceramic, marble, very unique. The restaurant food was good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable. Airport pickup and drop off was free and a good added bonus.

The hotel is a bit dated in the rooms, shower in room 410 needs to be renovated, and leaks water. There was no place to put our luggage, only one small folding luggage rack not suitable for a regular size piece of luggage, let alone 2 people's luggage, totally unacceptable to have to keep everything on the floor, in a room that was WAY overpriced, not worth the price overall. The location is not that great either. The Philippines is doing nothing to deal with the oppressive pollution, it's everywhere and it's significant. You can't go anywhere without a mask or you'll regret it.

I have a LOVE/LOVE LESS relationship with this hotel.

One of my favorite hotels tho frankly I think the owners should sell it. This hotel, in the right hands, could easily be 4-Star. It's a fabulous property that needs a bit of an overhaul. Original design, art deco influenced, especially pool area which is easy for parents to keep an eye on young children whilst also catering to exercise swimmers... among the best I've seen, and the lobby area. Bravo to the Architects & original investors. Reception staff are all well groomed & friendly. When one of them cannot answer a question there is likely to be another there who can. Complimentary airport pick-up & transfer to hotel is impressive & most welcome to a family of 6.

Unconventional policies such as guests having to request "Please make up my room" via a door hanger, instead of the usual opposite of "Do not disturb". Most guests will get it wrong on the first night. A few days prior to traveling to Puerto Princesa I responded to an email request for my flight details. At the airport we were indeed welcomed tho were asked to wait "...in case someone else is coming." I checked the drivers pick-up schedule & beside my name & that of several other's was "No flight details available". Clearly poor communication between the receiver of my email response & those coordinating transport. A lightbulb exploded in the bathroom requiring a room change. A simple shower door malfunction couldn't be repaired because " We have to order the parts from Manila." Having stayed at this hotel many times since its first year, they have never got the food right. No problem with the staff. Again the problems lie with Executive Policies & Senior Management.
